Our son Shea is doing great!
He switched schools twice in the past 3 years, and nonetheless, his social life was unaffected by his stutter.
And there has been a tremendous progress in his stutter over the past 6 months!

Malka L. Burton

Malka L. Burton, M.A. CCC-SLP* is a senior associate at Schneider Speech.  

Over the past decade, Malka has earned a reputation as a consummate professional with an extraordinary ability to help clients achieve their goals, while maintaining sensitivity and respect for each individual client. She relates well to children and adults, parents and professionals, and always brings sensible problem-solving and motivational skills to meet clients’ needs.  

After graduating from Montclair State University, Malka pursued additional training, specializing in fluency disorders in children and their families.  Malka first met Phil and Uri Schneider at a stuttering conference, where her presentation and clinical problem solving skills impressed everyone in attendance.  

Malka brings a decade of broad professional experience from a variety of settings, including special education and mainstream schools, home-based therapy and private practice. She has worked with both children and adults, treating articulation, language-based learning disorders, pragmatic delays, autism spectrum disorders, feeding delays, and fluency disorders.  Malka takes pride in her success- and strengths-based approach, helping her clients leverage their strengths in order to further improve their overall success.

Malka enjoys playing piano and taking road-trips with her family.  She and her husband reside in Brooklyn, NY with their four wonderful children.
